Refund Request Process

Before submitting a refund request, customers must first contact the CodeSellMarket support team through the official support system or email and provide a complete description of the issue, including all relevant information, screenshots, error messages, videos, system logs, or any other evidence reasonably requested by CodeSellMarket. Customers may also be asked to provide temporary administrator, FTP, or hosting access where necessary to investigate the reported issue.

CodeSellMarket and, where applicable, the product author, must be provided with a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the reported issue before any refund request will be considered. Failure to cooperate during the investigation process may result in the refund request being declined.

Refund requests must be submitted within fourteen (14) days from the original purchase date. Requests submitted after this period will not be eligible for review except where required by applicable law.

Definition of a Defect

A product defect refers to a reproducible technical issue that prevents the product from performing the core functionality explicitly advertised on its product page while installed on a supported server environment and using the original, unmodified source code.

The following do not constitute defects:

  • Requests for additional features or functionality not advertised in the product description.
  • Compatibility issues caused by unsupported hosting environments or outdated software versions.
  • Problems resulting from modifications made by the customer or third parties.
  • Performance expectations, personal preferences, or design opinions.
  • Third-party service failures, API changes, discontinued SDKs, licensing changes, or external platform modifications.

Supported Environment

Products are intended to operate only within the software versions, server requirements, PHP versions, frameworks, databases, and extensions specified in the product documentation or product description. Problems occurring outside these supported requirements shall not be considered product defects and are not eligible for refunds.

Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will not be granted under the following circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • You purchased a product and later decided that it does not suit your personal preferences.
  • You expected features or functionality that were never advertised in the product description.
  • Your hosting environment, server configuration, software versions, or development framework does not meet the stated requirements.
  • You accidentally purchased the wrong product or license.
  • You lack the technical knowledge required to install, configure, customize, or use the product.
  • You have modified the original source code or allowed a third party to modify it.
  • The issue results from your own customization, integration, or configuration changes.
  • The product does not meet subjective expectations regarding speed, appearance, workflow, or other personal preferences.
  • You no longer require the product after purchase.
  • The product has been successfully downloaded or accessed and no verified defect exists.
  • You have violated the product license, marketplace policies, or applicable laws.
  • The issue originates from third-party software, plugins, APIs, hosting providers, payment gateways, operating systems, or services beyond the author's control.

Refund Process

Once a refund request has been submitted, CodeSellMarket will investigate the reported issue. Refund investigations typically require between three (3) and ten (10) business days depending on the complexity of the issue.

If a verified and irreparable defect exists that cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe, CodeSellMarket may approve a refund. Approved refunds may be issued either to the original payment method or as CodeSellMarket Wallet Credit, at CodeSellMarket's sole discretion and subject to applicable payment processor rules and local laws.

Refunds are processed per individual purchase. Purchasing multiple copies of the same product does not automatically qualify the customer for multiple refunds.

Marketplace Wallet Credit

Where a refund is issued as CodeSellMarket Wallet Credit, the credited balance may only be used for future purchases within the CodeSellMarket marketplace unless otherwise required by applicable law. Wallet credits cannot be transferred between accounts.

License Revocation After Refund

Once a refund has been approved, all licenses associated with the refunded purchase shall be immediately revoked. Customers must permanently cease using, modifying, distributing, reselling, or incorporating the refunded product into any personal or commercial project. Continued use of a refunded product constitutes a violation of the product license and marketplace terms.

Chargeback & Payment Dispute Policy

Customers are expected to contact CodeSellMarket support before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute. Filing a chargeback without first allowing CodeSellMarket a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue may result in temporary account suspension while the dispute is reviewed.

If a payment dispute is found to be fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of this policy, CodeSellMarket reserves the right to permanently restrict the customer account, revoke product licenses, remove access to purchased products, and deny future purchases.

Refund Abuse Policy

CodeSellMarket reserves the right to reject refund requests and take appropriate action against accounts engaged in abusive or fraudulent behavior, including but not limited to:

  • Repeated or excessive refund requests.
  • False defect reports.
  • Threats of negative reviews to obtain refunds.
  • Downloading products solely for evaluation before requesting a refund without a verified defect.
  • Chargeback abuse or payment fraud.
  • Use of multiple accounts to circumvent marketplace policies.

Duplicate Purchases

Customers who accidentally purchase the same product multiple times may contact CodeSellMarket promptly for review. Duplicate purchases may be eligible for a refund at CodeSellMarket's discretion provided the additional license has not been used or downloaded.

Product Removal

If a product is removed from the marketplace due to policy violations, copyright claims, fraud, or other legal reasons, CodeSellMarket may review eligible purchases on a case-by-case basis and determine whether a refund, wallet credit, replacement product, or other appropriate resolution will be provided.

Limited Support

Purchasing a product does not automatically include installation, customization, migration, development, consulting, or ongoing technical support unless explicitly stated within the product listing.

Future product updates are not guaranteed unless expressly advertised by the product author. CodeSellMarket shall not be responsible for discontinued, abandoned, or unsupported products beyond the obligations required under this policy.

Marketplace Responsibility

CodeSellMarket operates solely as an online digital marketplace connecting independent authors with customers. Product descriptions, demonstrations, screenshots, documentation, and advertised functionality are supplied by the respective product authors.

Authors are responsible for ensuring their products function as described. CodeSellMarket reserves the right to investigate reported issues and take appropriate action against authors whose products repeatedly violate marketplace quality standards.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the digital nature of software products and source code, all sales are considered final once payment has been successfully processed and access to the downloadable files has been provided. Orders cannot be cancelled after purchase.

Wallet Deposit Policy

Funds deposited into the CodeSellMarket Wallet are intended solely for purchasing products within the marketplace. Wallet deposits are non-refundable except where required by applicable law and cannot be withdrawn directly to a bank account or original payment method.

General Terms

Customers are expected to possess a basic understanding of software installation, configuration, and source code modification before purchasing products from CodeSellMarket. An inability to customize or integrate a product into a specific project does not constitute a product defect.

Upon purchase, customers receive access to the complete source code of the product. Responsibility for installation, deployment, hosting, configuration, maintenance, security, backups, and future development rests entirely with the customer unless otherwise stated by the author.

By completing a purchase through CodeSellMarket, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy. CodeSellMarket reserves the right to amend or update this policy at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the marketplace following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
